Hey Y’all I have just had one of the most fantastic days of my life!!
The Book Launch was AWESOME + EXCELLENT + OVER THE TOP GREAT + FANTASTIC + EXCEEDINGLY ABUNDANTLY ABOVE all I could’ve asked for or imagined. Friends drove in from San Antonio, TX, San Angelo, TX and flew in from Opelousas, LA. Every part of my life: family (Mom, brother and son), work, friends (Face Book and life), past and present, people I’ve known for awhile and those I just met where there to join in the celebration.
The color scheme was neon: hats, flowers, balloons and goody bags. My big brother Richard Brown of Fanware Apparel (yourfanware@gmail.com) did a beautiful job on my t-shirts. Jamita Marchin, www.theswvault.com, did the graphics for the pop up banner, photo backdrop and business card, simply lovely. The food and service provided by Big Bro Louis and his staff at The Pelican House restaurant in Duncanville, TX was extraordinary. We were welcomed from the moment we walked in - most definitely hosting another event there in the future.
We were blessed by my dear friend and Sister in the Ministry in Ohio with one of her signature, hand quilted bags as a raffle prize. Two friends sang our hearts happy: Laura Hill with You Say by Lauren Daigle and an Old School Hymn, May the Works I’ve Done Speak for Me by Evang. Rhonda Steen. My friend and Sister in the Ministry Evang. Pamela Booth opened us up in a word of prayer that set the atmosphere for a time of good food, big fun and excellent fellowship. My dear friend, Emma Fowler cemented herself to me for life by taking pictures, video-graphing events and acting as the program Hostess With the Mostess. And I can’t begin to thank my Corner Sister, the SMILE Queen herself, Roz Knighten-Warfield who greeted attendees, distributed autographed book copies and took book orders for her introduction and kind, glowing words. And my #4 Son Richard Corbin, kept his cool when his Momma nearly lost hers. He put up the 8x8 backdrop, ran errands, held raffle signs; in essence, he did everything needed or asked. Everyone complimented his servant’s heart, handsome appearance and good nature. I am SO grateful and proud of this young man who I had the pleasure of bringing into and introducing to the world.
Wow!! How GOD has blessed me through this time of COVID shutdown is nothing short of AMAZING. Thank you to everyone who helped to make this one of the most fantastic days of my life. I love you all-4-life!!
